Buckingham Palace is a truly iconic and impressive landmark in London. The architecture is stunning, and the atmosphere around the palace feels very historic and grand. Watching the Changing of the Guard is a unique experience. A must-visit place that represents the heart of British history and culture.
Went to Buckingham palace twice this recent trip in May 2026. Never failed to impress me everytime. Weekdays not so crowded. Weekend very crowded. Change of guard is major attraction but its not everyday. Do watchout for the day and time. Well maintain and clean. Tricky to take good photos as there are so many visitors. But you can manage if there is a queue. Beware of the trishaw services, ask for the price before you ride on it. Do take opportunity to visit nearby attractions: The Kings Gallery & St James Park especially in spring time when flowers bloom. Recommended.
Buckingham Palace is a magnificent symbol of British heritage and royal tradition. The grand architecture and beautifully maintained surroundings create an unforgettable first impression. Watching the Changing of the Guard ceremony is a highlight, showcasing precision and pageantry. The palace gardens add a touch of serenity amidst the city’s bustle. While entry is limited to certain times, even viewing it from outside feels special. Crowds can be heavy, but the atmosphere remains lively and respectful. A visit to Buckingham Palace offers a glimpse into the monarchy’s legacy and is an essential experience when exploring London.
A visit to Buckingham Palace is a quintessential London experience and a must-see for anyone visiting the UK. Standing at the gates and looking down the Mall gives you a real sense of the history and grandeur of the British monarchy. The architecture is stunning, and seeing the Changing of the Guard ceremony is a highlight—just be sure to arrive early to get a good spot! If you are visiting during the summer months, I highly recommend booking tickets to tour the State Rooms. The interior is breathtaking, with incredible artwork, chandeliers, and furniture that tell a story of centuries of royal heritage. The gardens are equally impressive and offer a peaceful escape from the busy city streets. It’s an iconic landmark that truly lives up to its reputation.
