Beautifully designed in and out! The parking was so smooth (and a flat $10 rate which is really fair in DTLA!) staff were all friendly and helpful. The hall is designed perfectly, most seats had great view and no one blocking you. I loved their merch shop too. Overall a must visit esp for music lovers
I recently visited this venue for the first time and was thoroughly impressed by the scale, design, and atmosphere. Most notably, the acoustics and sound quality are exceptional. The performance featuring works by Sibelius, Debussy, and Scriabin was outstanding. Sibelius’s "The Oceanides" and Scriabin’s "Prometheus" were particularly moving, and I have become a dedicated fan of both composers as a result. The venue is a must-visit for any music enthusiast. Its location in such a beautiful part of downtown Los Angeles, complemented by the views from the garden section, makes for a wonderful experience.
Absolutely Beautiful💜❤️🩷The concert hall’s architecture is amazing and the high ceilings structure in the interior is perfect for sound/ acoustics. The seating is perfect at any angle and it has comfortable seating for everyone. The woodwork is beautiful on every level. Gaining entrance to the concert hall is really easy and available on every level of the parking structure and on the street level entrance. There’s accessible parking and seating in this building. There's a gift shop, plus areas to buy food and drinks on each level. There's also a beautiful outdoor dining area and a beautiful view of the city. This building has beautiful structures of art, mesmerizing walk ways, and paths around the sitting areas which lead you to explore. There’s an addition for children to explore and experience the arts with a children's stage. The staff is friendly, efficient and very supportive to help with all necessities and getting you to your seat on time. The performers and performances of all of these musical talents will take your breath away. Gustavo Dudamel is absolutely fantastic and of course including all of the musicians giving their best performances. Just watching and listening to everything made me feel mesmerized and so happy to be able to share this experience with others. If you have the chance to see him conduct with so much passion, please do. This is his last season in Los Angeles.
Unique Frank Gehry architecture lends itself to fantastic seating and sound. "Rooftop" Lounge is lovely, with great views of LA. The LA Philharmonic's performance of Die Walkyries, Part 1 was a joy.
I loved going to Music 101 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. If you can make it, I highly recommend it. I learned so much just hearing the musicians explain the music and instruments in a way that made everything easier to appreciate. Their store is also one of those top-tier museum stores where suddenly you are debating whether an art piece is worth skipping a hotel night for. I had to walk away from a few things because choices had to be made. The architecture inside is beautiful, warm, and somehow calmer than the dramatic outside of the building. Also, box seats are where it’s at. Completely worth it. The view of the orchestra and the room makes the whole experience feel more immersive.
