Good size venue with a great sound but the stage lighting could be better. I went to see two feet and the way they place them prevents a good visual of artists on stage. This is the large bar im talking about. In the attached photos u can see that the lighting isnt ideal.

First time seeing a show at the belly up, but I've been aware of it's reputation for years. Great security, great atmosphere and excellent service. We had loft seats which I think make the difference if you're not into doing the general admission thing, and the pricing was not bad. 10/10 would belly up again.

Have heard of this venue numerous times but never visited until tonight. Stopped by and caught Badfish on tour. Great venue with a rich history in the SoCal scene. Pretty good sound but basic lighting. Full bar and a decent pub style menu. Would definitely visit again if I was in town and a band that I liked was playing.

Fun to go to Belly Up for concerts! We go there often for parties and pay extra for the private upstairs loft area on Friday nights for Atomic Grove. It makes it a fun night where we have seating, a great view of the stage, and a waiter to order or drinks and food through. The price is pretty reasonable and we always have a great time!

After living isn't San Diego since 81, I finally made it to The Belly Up in 2021 to see The Main Squeeze. Had GA tickets and had a blast. Just eleven days ago I went for the second time. I took friends to see Tommy Castro and local band Black market 3. This time I got seats up in the mezzanine or up in the loft area. Spent a little bit more and it was totally worth it. This is such a great venue with great sound all over the place, big open space, great service, a hanging shark in the middle of joint and great acts. If you haven't been there yet, go you need to go.
