Would highly recommended visiting this small national park. It has great views of the ocean and pretty landscapes. Definitely visit the tide pools if you can — The drive down alone to the parking area is stunning. If you get the standard pass and keep the receipt, it’s good for 1-7 days for multiple trips!

This location offers absolutely amazing views of the San Diego Bay area, and it's also a significant national monument spanning 160 acres. The property includes a massive military cemetery which is noteworthy. I would definitely highly recommend visiting this site, especially if you appreciate expansive panoramic views.

We had a wonderful visit to Cabrillo National Monument! The views overlooking San Diego and the Pacific Ocean were absolutely stunning, and the fresh ocean breeze made the experience even better. The historic lighthouse and museum were interesting to explore, giving a nice glimpse into the area’s past. Overall, it’s a peaceful and scenic spot that’s perfect for a day trip. I’d love to come back again!

Wasn't a planned visit, but definitely worth going. Beautiful scenery, great staff and learned quite a bit that I didnt know before, which is the best part. From the original landing to being developed into coastal defense it was all wonderfully presented. Views of the bay and mountains in the background are worth it alone. The tide pools and geology were a highlight as well. I'd definitely stop back to spend more time.

Really stunning vistas from almost every angle. $20 park fee (or free if you hold an annual park pass) Lots of parking and facilities (toilets) were clean. You can spend a little time (like an hour) or a lot of time of you want to go hiking. This is unmissable
