What fresh, excellent seafood served by this restaurant! Tried the grilled octopus and the mixed seafood platter, and both were excellent. I think this was the best grilled octopus I've ever had. Highly recommended place to eat seafood in San Diego. It's nice as well to sit in the veranda overlooking the marina.
Overall an excellent experience. Loved the view and service was great. The shrimp were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. I will disagree with the majority and say that the clam chowder was just okay. I’m a big clam chowder fan and went in with high expectations based on reviews and it wasn’t bad, but doesn’t live up to the hype. Will definitely be back and would recommend.
This place is an absolute gem! We had the chowder soup and it was super good and full of amazing taste. We also tried the Spiny Lobster which was cooked perfectly, super fresh and flavorful. Their lemonade stood out! My husband had the wahoo fish and he loved it. The view while eating is also incredible. Highly recommended if you are a seafood lover.
Went to Mitch's Seafood at 11:45 am on a Friday. Parking lot was getting full but we were able to find a spot and pay via the pay machine. It took about 15 ish minutes to order and there was a bit of a line but it went quickly. Also seating is limited, some people do save seats when you aren't supposed to until you finish ordering but seating does turnover quite fast. For food we split the Beer Battered Fish Sandwich with a side of Coleslaw. Really nice sandwich and even better view to enjoy the food! Nice place to try!
Tucked away in the marina, Mitch’s Seafood was a great place to snag dinner after watching the sunset at Sunset Cliffs. We ordered way too much and regret nothing. Calamari was a delicious appetizer with zesty marinara sauce and half a roasted lemon for squeezing. We also ordered crab cakes and both shrimp and beer battered fish tacos. The house made limeade was refreshing and our kiddo enjoyed the grilled cheese on sourdough. It was nice to have a kid-friendly option at a fish restaurant. From dock to dish, this place was awesome!
