Some bars are memorable because of a particular drink. Others because of the room, the music, or the people behind the bar. Trench somehow manages to combine all of those things without drawing attention to any of them. The cocktail I still think about years later contained chili. Not the sort of drink that hits you over the head with heat and calls it creativity. The chili sat quietly in the background, adding depth and tension to the drink in the same way a pinch of salt can transform a dessert. Looking around the shelves, it's easy to see where the bar's personality comes from. Bottles of bitters, herbal liqueurs, aperitifs and obscure European spirits seem to occupy every available corner. There is a sense that curiosity is valued here. Not novelty for novelty's sake, but genuine interest in flavour. I've always found that refreshing. So many cocktail bars feel compelled to explain themselves. Trench simply serves the drink and lets it speak. A few sips in, combinations that sounded questionable on paper suddenly make perfect sense. By the end of the evening, you're already scanning the menu for what to order next. There is no need for theatrics. No need for anyone to tell you how special the place is. The glass in front of you does that job perfectly well.

Great cocktails - NO misses. Tried the Lo-Fiz Fuzz, Good Together & Some Kind of Static. All top notch. Music was on point as well. They play a variation of hip-hop, R&B, and even Indian music. Arthur, our bartender, was SUPER personable & made me a cocktail according to the flavors I am fond of. 10/10 must try

Tried 4 different cocktails, all of them were amazing. Also the snacks they serve with cocktails were very tasty. Reservation is important be sure you had in advance. Its not located in touristic area but definitely its worth to take a public transport and go there

Great spot. Staff is super friendly in both English and Japanese. If you’re not sure what to order they can really help you out. Reservations are a good idea.

Arthur was my bartender and he made the most exquisite drinks :) this bar has a selection of absinthe cocktails which I am totally a newcomer to but it is very welcoming and refreshing, and the complimentary snacks were so addictive
